Most people spend their lives searching for the right moment to pursue a dream.
They wait until life becomes less busy. Until they have more confidence. Until the timing feels perfect.
But for Bunny Levine, the moment to begin came when many people might have assumed it was already too late.
After spending approximately 25 years working as a school librarian and helping young readers discover the power of stories, Levine eventually made a decision that changed the direction of her own life. Near the age of 60, she stepped away from a stable career and entered an industry filled with uncertainty, competition, and rejection.
She began auditioning.
To some, the decision may have seemed risky. Starting over later in life requires more than ambition. It demands patience, resilience, and the willingness to hear “no” without allowing rejection to become the final answer.
Levine embraced the challenge.
Over time, she developed a career as a character actress, appearing in a range of productions and becoming part of the entertainment world she had once approached as an outsider. Her later-life acting journey became especially inspiring because it challenged a common belief: that opportunity belongs only to the young.
