At first glance, it looked completely harmless.
A small, dark object was lying on the bathroom floor, partly outside the brightest area of the ceiling light. It could have been a piece of rubber, a scrap of packaging, or some ordinary household debris.
I almost ignored it.
Then I noticed something that made me stop.
The object didn’t look quite right.
Instead of being flat, it appeared thick and uneven, with a shape that seemed almost organic. I moved closer, expecting to discover a piece of trash that had somehow fallen from a cabinet or cleaning product.
But the closer I looked, the stranger it became.
Something Didn’t Add Up
I checked the area around the sink, toilet, shower, and walls.
Nothing else appeared unusual.
