Joven thought she was beginning an unforgettable adventure when she traveled to a remote community far from home. In this fictional account, her goal was to spend several days learning about local traditions and documenting everyday life.
Photographs from her first day showed her smiling alongside members of the community, and everything appeared to be going according to plan. But by the following evening, the trip suddenly took an unexpected turn.
Joven began feeling extremely weak and developed severe stomach pain, dizziness, and repeated vomiting. Her condition quickly became concerning, and the people around her recognized that she needed medical attention.
