At first, the object in the water seemed completely out of place.
It was sitting near the surface of a quiet village lake, with an unusual circular shape, a textured exterior, and a hollow center. From a distance, it was difficult to tell what it actually was.
People walking along the shore began slowing down to take a closer look.
Nobody seemed to have an immediate explanation.
