Now, heartbreaking new details show what Renee was carrying in her maroon Honda SUV at the moment she was killed—and it wasn’t a threat.

Images shared by Rep. Eric Swalwell during a House Judiciary Committee hearing painted a powerful picture. Inside her car were stuffed animals and everyday items a parent keeps for their children. “She had a baby to go home to,” Swalwell said. “A six-year-old who is now orphaned. A 37-year-old mom with three kids—not a terrorist.” He addressed supporters of the shooting directly: “You want to cheer for her being shot in the face three times?”

Federal officials, including Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, insist the shooting was self-defense, labeling it “an act of domestic terrorism.” Vice President JD Vance echoed the sentiment, calling it “classic terrorism” and condemning those who defend the act.
