As we get older, our bodies naturally change—and sometimes those changes show up in unexpected ways, including body odor. Skin becomes thinner, hormones shift, and the way we sweat evolves. At the same time, dead skin cells don’t shed as quickly as they once did, which can give odor-causing bacteria more chances to build up.

In most cases, warm water or a mild, fragrance-free cleanser used externally is all that’s needed, followed by gentle drying.
2. Reusing bath towels too often
Towels absorb moisture, sweat, and dead skin cells. If they don’t dry fully between uses, bacteria and mildew can grow—even if the towel looks clean.
