US singer and One Direction support act, 26, dies after scooter accident

Camryn Magness, a talented singer-songwriter who shared stages with One Direction, Cody Simpson, Greyson Chance, and Fifth Harmony, has tragically passed away at the age of 26.

The news was confirmed on December 5 after Camryn was fatally injured in an electric scooter accident, according to People and TMZ. She was riding as a passenger when the collision occurred in Miami Beach, with emergency crews taking all involved to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Camryn’s mother, Sarah, confirmed that there will be no public memorial.

A post on Camryn’s official Facebook page on December 9 paid tribute to her spirit:

“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved Camryn, a radiant force whose voice, joy, and bright spirit touched so many. Whether beneath the waves or on stage, she met life with fearless energy and boundless kindness. In the quiet between waves, her memory will surface—bright, bold, unforgotten. Rest in endless blue, our sweet girl. You are deeply loved and forever cherished.”
