Growing up in a large family home, I learned early that not everyone receives the same kind of attention. My twin brother seemed to be at the center of every celebration and opportunity, while I often felt overlooked. Although the imbalance hurt, I found comfort in the quiet support of my grandfather, whose kindness gave me confidence when I needed it most.
Every week, he would stop by with books, fresh fruit, and stories from his own life. He encouraged my curiosity, celebrated my achievements, and reminded me that a person’s value isn’t measured by material things or public praise. Looking back, those conversations shaped me far more than I realized.
