Braden called it the \u201cperfect day\u201d\u2014a fitting tribute to his unstoppable spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once dependent on a walker, he eventually learned to walk independently through years of therapy. He joined the civil air patrol unit in Owensboro, Kentucky, and then achieved something even bigger: he earned his place as a volunteer firefighter with the Moseleyville Fire Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
