Some television personalities become familiar faces. Others become part of the memories attached to an entire generation. Kiki Shepard was one of those rare figures.

Her warmth, confidence, humor, and unmistakable sense of style made her an essential part of the program’s identity.

Born in Tyler, Texas, Shepard developed a passion for performance early in life. She became a professional dancer and later appeared in Broadway productions including Bubbling Brown Sugar, Reggae, and Porgy and Bess. Her television résumé also included appearances on A Different World, Baywatch, NYPD Blue, Everybody Hates Chris, and Grey’s Anatomy.
