Early one morning, I noticed something unusual moving slowly across the damp ground in my yard. At first glance, it looked similar to an ordinary earthworm, so I almost ignored it.
But after taking a closer look, I noticed something different.
The creature was long, dark, and slightly shiny, with a wide, flattened head that did not resemble the rounded shape of a typical earthworm. Its unusual appearance made it clear that this was something different.
After comparing its features with information about common garden wildlife, it appeared to be a hammerhead flatworm, a type of terrestrial flatworm known for its distinctive head shape.
