Everything looked remarkably ordinary, yet the absence of the people who had once filled the rooms with laughter made the familiar surroundings feel completely different.
Six members of the family were gone, leaving behind a community struggling to understand what had happened.
There were no obvious signs of a break-in or major disturbance inside the home. Everyday belongings remained where they had been left. Shoes were near the entrance, toys were still in the children’s rooms, and ordinary household items appeared untouched.
The normality of the surroundings only made the unanswered questions more difficult.
