Human Remains Found in Arizona as Missing Person Search Takes a New Turn

The discovery of human remains in an Arizona desert area has renewed attention on the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, but authorities say there is currently no indication that the remains are connected to her case.

The remains were discovered near West Ajo Way and South La Cholla Boulevard in the Tucson area, approximately 15 miles from Guthrie’s home. According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, the remains appeared to have been at the location for an extended period of time. Search-and-rescue deputies responded to the area after the discovery.

Authorities Say No Connection Has Been Established

The proximity of the discovery to Nancy Guthrie’s home naturally prompted questions among people following the case. However, investigators have cautioned against assuming the remains belong to the missing woman.
