Landslide on Highway 99 Leaves Three Dead and One Person Missing

The incident has added to the challenges facing communities in British Columbia that have experienced severe weather, wildfires, flooding, and other emergencies in recent years. Residents and local organizations have continued to support affected families during this difficult period.

Highway 99 has also been significantly affected by the landslide, creating additional disruption for travelers and nearby communities.

As authorities assess the damage and determine how and when the highway can be reopened, questions remain about the factors that contributed to the slope failure. Investigators and transportation officials will be responsible for determining what happened and whether additional measures could help reduce the risk of similar incidents in the future.

For those affected, however, the immediate priority remains supporting the families who lost loved ones and those still waiting for answers.
