“Someone very special to me is on this plane tonight,” Tyler continued over the speakers.
I held my breath.
Mason squeezed my hand so tightly that his little fingers hurt.
Then Tyler said something I never expected.
“And although she doesn’t know it yet, I hope she’ll understand how much this moment means to me.”
I stared at the ceiling of the cabin.
For one ridiculous second, I wondered if he had somehow discovered our surprise and was about to announce my name to an entire plane full of strangers.
