However, a viral moment from September 2024 drew attention for a very different reason.
During an appearance at a Miami nightclub, Shakira appeared to become uncomfortable while dancing in front of the crowd. She adjusted her clothing, appeared to gesture toward people nearby, and eventually left the elevated platform where she had been performing.
