Some of the moments we remember most clearly are not the ones we carefully plan.
They can happen during an ordinary afternoon, in a familiar place, between people who may never meet again. Sometimes, a small act of kindness is enough to turn an otherwise routine day into a meaningful memory.
That is what happened to me during a quick trip to the grocery store.
An Ordinary Afternoon at the Store
I had stopped by the grocery store to pick up a few things. Nothing about the visit seemed unusual.
The aisles were busy, shoppers were moving from one section to another, and the checkout lines were slowly progressing.
