A young woman has shared the frightening story of how her first sexual experience ended not with awkward memories, but with heavy bleeding, a hospital stay and a painful lesson about the importance of being physically and emotionally ready.
She said she was in her late teens when she had sex for the first time with a boy she was dating. Although he had booked a hotel room, she said she had not expected the night to lead to sex and felt nervous before they even arrived.
