Cleaning under the cushions of a well-used sofa is rarely exciting. Most people expect to find loose change, crumbs, pet hair, or perhaps a long-lost remote control. But occasionally, something unfamiliar turns up and immediately sparks concern.
That’s exactly what happened during an ordinary afternoon of tidying up.
As one cushion was lifted, a tiny dark object appeared tucked deep inside the fabric folds. Its unusual shape prompted an instant wave of worry. For a brief moment, it seemed possible that it could be evidence of a household pest or another hidden problem.
