Dr. Dada, who was solely responsible for the household income, recounted paying over R20,000 per month for a Mercedes GLC following her husband’s accident. When she suggested downgrading, he instead opted for a Mercedes GLB worth R1.2 million. Additionally, she alleged that she experienced gender-based violence (GBV) at his hands before he eventually left her.

Her candid revelation attracted both support and criticism, with some questioning her intelligence despite her medical degree. One online user commented:

“If you are not street smart, a degree is useless… with that degree, she was still fooled.”

Unwilling to let the remark slide, Dr. Dada fired back, stating:

“Says you? Hayi maan! Leave the medical degree alone. It can never be useless. Now that I’m grown, I was able to correct my financial mistake and move forward. Because of that degree, I can take care of my children, send them to good schools, drive my own comfortable car, and live well despite the challenges I faced.”

She further urged people to reflect on their own lives before trolling others, emphasizing:

“This degree is the reason I was able to make my comeback!”
