A construction project was disrupted after workers reportedly noticed warning signs that prompted crews to leave an affected area before part of an elevated structure failed.
According to preliminary information, workers noticed unusual cracking sounds and movement in portions of the structure while construction was underway. The concerns were reported to supervisors, who began precautionary evacuation procedures.
Workers and other personnel were moved away from the area as site managers coordinated with engineers and emergency responders.
