Construction projects can change quickly, especially when crews are working around large elevated structures. In one recent incident, workers reportedly noticed unusual warning signs and alerted supervisors before part of the structure later failed.
According to preliminary reports, construction workers heard unexpected cracking sounds and observed movement in sections of the elevated roadway while work was underway. The concerns were reported promptly, allowing site managers to begin precautionary safety procedures.
Workers and other personnel were moved away from the affected area as supervisors coordinated with engineers and emergency responders. The evacuation helped clear the construction zone before sections of concrete and steel later came down.
